Romney’s self-contradictions and embarrassingly obvious dramatic position shifts, are now obvious to the media.  One wonders if the American people get it, and will reject it. It appears to be a calculated, cynical and deliberate strategy to fool voters that he supports all of them, women, Latinos, Blacks, no matter what their beliefs..

2000 years ago the ancient Greek scholars saw this tactic, understood it, and gave it a name: sophistry. Romney is a bald ass sophist.

In a pattern of debate arguments that began in the first Presidential debate, Mitt Romney continues his attempt to re-position himself, essentially making any and all arguments  without regard for the argument’s validity with the Republican Party platform, or his own long established views, or as published on his own website.  This debate tactic is breath-taking in its sweeping dishonesty…

Since the time of Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates, this tactic has been known as “Sophistry,”  a subtle, tricky, superficially plausible, but generally fallacious method of reasoning.

The Romnesia tactic has been driven by the deep divisions in the Republican and extreme right wing Tea Party camps.  The moderate Republican camp characterized by John Houseman and even Jeb Bush is set against the party of the Koch brothers, Grover Norquist, Karl Rove and others. At this point, even the extremists are willing to allow Romney to deny his past, and say anything to win the election.
