Streaming Digital Communication Emerging As A Critical Corporate Recession Resource

At New Year’s I posted “Looking Ahead to Greater Uncertainty.”

In hindsight my post was tame compared to what has occurred since.  In January, I first noticed a worrisome disconnect between Silicon Valley and the European entrepreneurial ecosystem. Silicon Valley is in a major reckoning with failed IPO’s, fewer deals, and layoffs.

Meanwhile U.S. VCs are beating a path to Europe where things have been hot.  When you see something like that, you need to investigate more deeply.

Second, the drumbeat about recession, became a thunderous roar with the Covid-19 virus. Today it was declared a global pandemic by the WHO. The sharp decline in global financial markets in one week has been the most sudden in history. The signs were there, but the rapidity has left many flat-footed. In my New Year’s post, I recommended a thorough review of your company’s situation via industry analysis. You will need to adjust. Studies have shown that those with a higher-level longer-term plan & vision have the best chance of survival. Finally, I urge everyone to read “How Will Tech Help In A Time of Pandemic?” by NY Times Technology editor, Kara Swisher.

As travel declines and events are cancelled, Swisher argues that streaming digital communication is the answer. You need to consider professional digital streaming events and meetings for your business. I recommend Livestorm.
